MOHS has created a COVID-19 response plan aimed at mitigating  risk for individuals experiencing homelessness, who are at particularly high risk and unable to self-isolate at home. MOHS is expanding capacity for social distancing in shelters by opening additional emergency shelter sites to relocate existing shelter residents and allow for social distancing in accordance with CDC best practices. The Case Manager role will be supporting MOHS’ efforts to provide on-going support to homeless citizens over the age of 62 moved into these designated sites. 

The Case Manager provides direct management services including identifying and coordinating community resources. The Case Manager provides a variety of individual and/or group supportive services that address both short-term and long-term client needs.


Shelter Monitor - Mayor’s Office of Homeless Services

The Shelter Monitor provides primary support of clients in temporary residential facilities in support of program goals and objectives. The Shelter Monitor will be responsible for providing a safe and orderly environment at the site. During your shift you will be responsible for enforcing program rules and regulations, performing intake process and log entries, addressing client behavior issues and conflict resolution; and maintaining cleanliness and safety of the site.


CAPACITY BUILDING FELLOW

The 2020 Capacity Building Fellow is responsible for supporting the Foundation’s Capacity Building program, working closely with the Arts and Culture Program Officer to ensure the timely and efficient management and production of Capacity Building events. The Fellow serves to support the Foundation team. The Fellow’s duties will fall under three categories: calendar organization, budget tracking, and event planning. The Fellow will contribute to and manage ongoing projects, communicating between internal and external stakeholders, and follow-up support regarding grantee and partner convenings and other capacity building programs and events. This individual will also manage and track the capacity building budget.  


Baltimore Community Manager

As the Community Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the Baltimore Community Director to carry out all VFA operations essential to the local program's continued growth. You'll collaborate with the Community Director to advise our Fellows in their professional journeys, cultivate a community for the Baltimore Fellows, increase local funding partnerships and execute new strategic initiatives for the organization.


Community Lending Associate

Baltimore’s new Neighborhood Impact Investment Fund is an innovative public-private partnership that provides powerful tools to deliver capital to benefit historically disinvested neighborhoods in Baltimore. The Fund is an independent 501(c)(3) organization working in alignment with the City to promote community development and enhance inclusive, equitable economic growth. Capitalized by a $51.7 million loan from the City, NIIF is working to leverage additional support and investment from philanthropies, financial institutions, and mission investors. The Community Lending Associate will report to the CEO and is responsible for supporting the work of the CEO and Chief Lending Officer, and for working collaboratively with NIIF’s Board, Fund Manager and accounting provider.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Baltimore Corps is seeking a part-time Operations Intern who will report to the Director of Data, Technology, and Evaluation. The Operations Intern will assist with the administration of Baltimore Corps’ technical systems and processes, with the primary goal helping internal staff and external stakeholders engage with Baltimore Corps’ technology more effectively. Through this internship the Operations Intern will have the opportunity to learn how to manage enterprise scale information systems, how to analyze and present insights from large amounts of data, and how to collaborate effectively on technical projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Case Management & Technical Support (10 hours/week)

  • Manage Baltimore Corps’ case management system and respond to or escalate cases that are submitted by internal staff and external stakeholders

  • Conduct weekly audits of outstanding cases to help data and technology staff prioritize delivery of technical support

  • Analyze the types of cases logged to recommend changes in technical processes or systems to address the source of recurring issues

  • Train internal staff and (in limited cases) external stakeholders on proper usage of technical processes and systems

Data Analysis & Administration (5 hours/week)

  • Conduct regular audits of technical systems to recommend opportunities for improving data integrity and security

  • Create or modify common reports to meet operational, programmatic, and grant compliance needs

  • Improve data quality across technical systems by updating or removing duplicate, inconsistent, and incomplete records

Operations Administration (5 hours/week)

  • Assist data and technology staff with the administration of Baltimore Corps’ technical systems

  • Research and provide recommendations for the procurement of new technical systems

  • Create documentation for existing and new technical systems and processes

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS

TIMELINE AND COMPENSATION

The Operations Intern is a paid internship, compensated at a rate of $20 per hour, for up to 20 hours per week. The internship will begin as early as April 27 and run through June 30, 2020. This is a remote position.
