Elevation Award Recipient, I AM O'Kah!

Receiving its namesake from Kahdine, the first in Aisha’s family to
graduate from college, I AM O’Kah! helps students navigate their way to and through college and careers. Since 2011, the organization has awarded over $13,000 in scholarships and grants to ten first-generation scholars from seven Baltimore City high schools.

I AM O’Kah! uses entrepreneurship and investing to teach Baltimore’s students how to critically think about their college and career decisions. This fall I AM O'Kah! launched the Career Concierge Initiative, hosting several college/career fair that bought together higher education institutions and internship and employment opportunities for cyber-related careers. In the second
phase, the organization will develop a beta website to highlight the ecosystem of jobs with critical shortages, internship programs,
volunteer opportunities, college programs and employment opportunities that can serve as a pipeline to filling those positions for our city’s children.
