Benjamin Oaks, Vehicles for Change

Ben's Fellowship:

Ben will be working with Vehicles for Change (VFC) as part of their Senior Management Team, overseeing the internal operations of the organization including the finance, human resources and programmatic functions as well as the Full Circle Service Center and Freedom Wheels business units. He is excited to help VFC build on its past successes to create scalable operations that can be replicated in other locations across the country.  

Background:

Ben Oaks is passionate about small, innovative organizations and how they scale the impact of their work both geographically and functionally. He is also interested in increasing access to opportunity for disadvantaged populations. 

Ben has worked in a number of roles for a wide variety of organizations throughout his career. He began his career working in politics and policy with the New York State legislature. Following business school at Cornell University, he served as Chief Operating Officer for PSP Unlimited, a promotional productions company. In 2010, he moved to New York City to be a part of the startup scene where he co-founded MuCash, an online micropayment processing company and DailyGiver.org, a charitable fundraising website. From 2011 until 2015, he served on the Board of Directors of NYC Mission Society and currently serves as the President of the Board of Directors for CHABHA.
