Donnaya Vassell, Program Manager, Fellowship


As the Fellowship Program Manager, Donnaya is a member of a two-person team. She works closely with a dynamic programs team across the following key priority areas: coaching Fellows around their career and professional development; investing in leadership development; and building and strengthening the equity and racial justice focus of Baltimore Corps Fellows and Visionary Cause Leaders (employer partners).

Background: As an educator, Donnaya’s deep desire to see lives transformed through education guides her work for racial equity and justice. She began her career in Baltimore as a high school English teacher and a Teach for America corps member, before transitioning to non-profit work as a curriculum and content developer. Donnaya graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Advertising and Public Relations, she then received a Master of Science in Education Studies from Johns Hopkins University.
