Allison Rubin, Break A Difference

Allison's Fellowship:

With Break a Difference, Allison will be working as a Lead Engagement Coordinator. She will help create and organize impactful volunteer experiences for the corporate partners and students on Break A Difference's alternate winter and spring breaks. Allison will focus on the volunteers and their growth as they engage in various ways with the city.

Allison earned her B.A. in World History/Social Studies and M.A. in the Arts of Teaching from Delaware State University. Her experiences, from working in the classroom to being a Division I athlete, have nurtured her observant demeanor, optimistic outlook and innate team-focused mentality. Allison grew up in Montgomery County, Maryland and has loved and admired the city of Baltimore for a long time.

Why do you choose to live and work in Baltimore?

Baltimore is full of raw passion and infatuating energy, I’m excited for my move to the city and the chance to become acquainted with its political and recreational affairs.

What's one surprising fact about yourself?

I love living and finding the happy in the simplest of experiences.
