She was an integral part of onboarding new programming and services for the Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SIE) team, with the additions of Artist Navigator, Entrepreneurship In Residence, and Moonshot. In January 2022, Tamara went on to serve as the Senior Director of Programs and Administration before being promoted to Chief of Staff in July 2022.

As Chief of Staff, she focused on refining Baltimore Corps’ process improvement skills and leading Baltimore Corps’ continued evolution as a network and a non-profit organization. In January 2023, Tamara was promoted to her current role as Executive Director of Baltimore Corps.

In her seven years with Baltimore Corps, Tamara has a well-earned reputation for consistently showing up for our staff members, the communities we serve, and Baltimore Corps supporting partners. She is fueled by creative possibilities and thought-partnership with others to create equitable landscapes, as well as her commitment to Baltimore City. Her dynamic and resourceful skills bring people together and reinforce their trust in Baltimore Corps’ values, vision, and mission.

As a former educator, Tamara’s energy is genuine and inclusive. She is a true servant leader and a thought partner to anyone she encounters. She has served the Maryland community, youth, and families as an advocate and teacher and coordinating various education-based programming. Throughout her career, she partnered with Teach for America, Urban Teachers, Playworks, and other non-profit organizations inside and outside of Maryland. Tamara has made an everlasting impact on Baltimore Corps.

As Chief Program Officer, Tamara intends to focus on growing her skills as a visionary organizational leader, serving Baltimore, and working alongside the Baltimore Corps team to create a brighter and more ambitious future.
