Shountee' Turner, Executive Assistant

Shountee's role:

As the Executive Assistant, Shountee' provides direct support to the President and CEO of Baltimore Corps. She serves as a liaison, synchronizing the input of staff, partners, and the leadership team. Shountee' works diligently to provide the support needed for our team to funnel the visionary ideas created through a collaborative approach into tangible results related to increasing equity in Baltimore City.

Background:

Shountee' originally is from Hampton, Virginia, but Baltimore is her second home. Reminded daily of its infinite potential, she fell in love with the diverse culture and expansive opportunity that she found here.

Prior to joining Baltimore Corps, Shountee' worked for many years as an executive assistant and analyst within the Regulatory Affairs Department at a major utility company. Her duties included, proposal, procedure, and technical writing; editing and review; and compliance monitoring. In her role as the executive assistant, she supported the Executive Team in all administrative work functions. This amazing experience provided Shountee' with a very unique set of skills gained through on-the-job training.

After that project ended, Shountee' was introduced to the world of nonprofits, where she was immediately drawn to the rewarding results of the diligent work that is being executed behind-the-scenes to improve the quality of life for so many people.
