numerous subsidiaries and affiliated units, including LifeBridge Health & Fitness and the LifeBridge Medical Care Centers in Eldersburg, Mays Chapel and Reisterstown. LifeBridge Health’s mission is to maintain and improve the health and well-being of all people in greater Baltimore, with a special emphasis on northwest Baltimore City and Baltimore and Carroll counties.
LifeBridge Health stakeholders generally include patients, employees and visitors. In addition, we consider our elected officials and neighboring communities as integral components for LifeBridge Health to be successful in meeting its mission. Sinai Hospital is the flagship hospital of LifeBridge Health. It is a 534-bed hospital based in Baltimore, Maryland. It was originally founded in 1866 as the Hebrew Hospital and Asylum and is now a Jewish-sponsored ANCC Magnet and teaching hospital that provides care for patients in Baltimore City, Baltimore County and surrounding communities. More than 1,000 physicians provide treatment for almost 26,000 patients every year. The hospital includes award-winning centers of excellence in cardiology, emergency medicine, oncology, orthopedics, pediatrics and other service lines.
The LifeBridge Health Department of Population Health supports the whole system in aligning its programs and services to maintain the health of community members and reduce unnecessary illness and unnecessary use of expensive hospital services. For Sinai Hospital, these community members live in the following zip codes: 21215, 21216, 21207,21209 and 21208.
