Kristin Jurkscheit, Place for Purpose Manager

Kristin's role:

As the Place for Purpose Manager, Kristin connects talented, mission-driven job-seekers and social impact career opportunities across Baltimore City. Through Place For Purpose, we envision a city capable of developing, retaining, and connecting its leaders to realize a more equitable future for all of Baltimore.

Background:

Kristin is passionate about making meaningful and impactful connections to advance social change for Baltimore. Since returning to Baltimore in 2010, she has developed new initiatives at Notre Dame of Maryland and UMBC, joined the board of Maryland New Directions, and launched the Advocacy Committee of the Baltimore Women’s Giving Circle. Kristin grew up in Columbia, MD, and spent much of her youth in Baltimore. After a successful career as a French Horn player with the Colorado Symphony, Kristin returned to Baltimore and completed an Executive MBA at the Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School. She loves our city and spending time with a diverse group of friends who are equally passionate about Baltimore.
